What is the fastest way to loose belly fat?

Now if you want to loose actual fat, then there is no fast way, I am sorry to say and sorry for the click bait. As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, I have to tell you that you can only loose .5-2.2 pounds of fat per week. If you are loosing more than that, you are only loosing water and muscle. This can actually be detrimental to sustained weight loss. Wearing our shapewear helps keep you confident while you make lifestyle changes toward sustained weight loss in order to achieve your healthy ideal weight.
The best way to do this is by making daily choices that will help you attain the healthiest version of yourself. I recommend a more plant based diet. You don't have to go completely vegan, but choosing the majority of you foods from plants sources and not processed foods including fake meat is the best decision. Of course have some beyond beef hamburgers or field roast hot dogs on occasion (way better than actual meat). But beans or lentils with veggies and rice or quinoa will provide a complete and adequate protein source. Throw in some veggies and you have an easy lunch or dinner that is high in antioxidants and fiber. You don't need a lot of protein for weight loss and actually excess protein is not good for your kidneys. It is important to stay hydrated as well 7-8 cups of water is a great start. You may notice you loose more weight on a low carbohydrate diet, but the majority of the initial weight loss is water weight. Your body stores 3-4 grams of water with every 1g of carbohydrate. This is not a bad thing if you are eating whole grains, because fiber helps you to lose weight. Excess sugar on the other hand is a poor choice. Also dramatically cutting your calories and stress causes increases in cortisol which increases bloating and fat storage around your belly. There is not actual benefit for an initiation stage of a diet that dramatically reduces carbohydrates and calories. This is a trick to make you feel like you are loosing so much weight, but in reality as I said it is mostly water weight and cortisol can cause the reverse effects. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer so I always tell me clients that exercise is important in loosing weight sustainably. This is due to the fact that exercise increases your muscle mass which burns more calories through out the day and exercise itself helps burn calories. Exercise contributes to about 20% of your weight lose while what you eat contributes to 80%. Weight training even light weights and body resistance is the most effective way to loose weight, because the gaining muscle will increase how many calories you burn and help shape your body. Cardio is mainly beneficial for your heart and HIIT is great because it usually involves cardio and resistance. So keep squatting and lunging for that lifted booty (this will take several months to achieve). It doesn't mean I give up on working out. I recommend doing light weights/barre/sculpt at least 3 times a week for the best results, but I always tell my clients working out once a week is still better than skipping that workout. Muscle memory is about 7 days so that one time is actually meaningful and then you get back in the habit keeps you working towards your healthy life style. No one keeps a perfect diet or exercise plan no matter what they tell you on Instagram. Do your best and don't be hard on yourself. It is especially hard after having children to have time and energy to maintain the perfect lifestyle let alone all the changes that happen to your body.
